The JSD6000 deepwater pipe-laying vessel has completed the hoisting of the main crane barrel

     On July 4, the JSD6000 deepwater lifting and pipe-laying ship project built by Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (600320) successfully completed the lifting of the main crane barrel, laying a foundation for the installation and commissioning of the subsequent crane system.

     The JSD6000 is a lifting, Slay and Jlay pipe-laying vessel. The project is scheduled to complete its trial and delivery in early 2022. As one of the three functions of the main crane installation work is imminent, and the installation of the cylinder is the first step of the main crane installation. Therefore, the smooth installation of the crane barrel is of great significance to the progress of the subsequent project.

    The main crane of the project is a full rotary crane with a diameter of 24 meters and is arranged at the rear of the hull. The total weight of the hoisting cylinder, including pre-installed parts on the cylinder, is about 1200 tons. When hoisting the cylinder, under the control of floating crane, it shall be set into a deck house with a height of 6.9 meters, and the installation gap on both sides is only 25 mm. When the cylinder body is close to the installation reference level 1.8m high, 8 pieces of hosting frame need to be inserted to lift the system base, the installation clearance is only 5 mm, the difficulty can be imagined. To this end, before the implementation of lifting, the project team held several discussions, and went to the site to measure the detail size of each component, eliminate the possible problems in the lifting, and lay a good foundation for the smooth implementation of lifting.

    On the evening of July 3, the floating crane was moved to the berth, the hook and trial lifting were completed, and the cylinder was pre-hoisted to the port side of the hull. On July 4th, the crane was officially lifted. The project team performed their duties and cooperated closely. Faced with the large swing of the cylinder caused by the high wind, the project team adjusted the operation plan in time and made precise measures, and finally successfully completed the hoisting of the cylinder
